ABOUT US

We are both in our late 20's and have been together since 2006. Expanding our family through adoption has always been our dream, but issues with infertility have made it a reality much sooner than we imagined.

How We Met (Told by Doron)

In the late summer of 2006, I was preparing to begin college at Eastern Michigan University. In order to help make some new friends, I took advantage of a brand new college-oriented website called Facebook. I joined a group for a student organization I planned to attend and there among the members was the cutest boy I had ever seen! I clicked on his profile and discovered he loved many of the same books and music that I did. I sent him a friend request. We chatted for a couple of months until we fianlly met up at one of the student organization's programs. We started dating the next week and have been together ever since.

Proposing (Told by Daniel)

After Doron and I had been together for two years, I felt confident that she was the person I wanted to be with forever. As I always felt it was the right thing to do, I went and talked to Doron's father and he was very happy that I would become part of his family. I picked out a ring that I knew Doron would love. In March 2009, Doron and I went out to dinner and a movie. I have been looking forward to this for some time, and while she was distracted, I pulled out the ring box out of my bag and opened it in front of her. I asked her to marry me and she said "yes". We were married on June 13, 2010 in front of all our friends and family.

We both love sports, although Daniel is a bit of a bigger fan. Weekends are filled with friends coming over to watch the Michigam game or passionately cheer for the Tiger's latest World Series quest. Often these evenings end out for dinner at some of our favorite resturants like Olive Garden or Leo's Coney Island. We travel often, but usually with our family. In recent years we've been on trips to Washington D.C., Los Angeles, New York City, Niagara Falls, and Mackinaw Island. Both of us enjoy visitng museums and Daniel always loves to stop by the local sports stadium.

We consider ourselves to be home bodies. We both love to read and watch movies together. Doron loves romantic comedies and Daniel loves action adventure, but we can always find something we both like, such as Pirates of the Caribbean. We spend a lot of quality time with our families. Every Friday evening is spent at Doron's parents house and we often join Daniel's dad for dinner and a movie. No matter what we are doing , we just enjoy being together.
